48" x 36" x 3/4"Today's new painting is a diptych in a somewhat new abstract style for me. I enjoyed working on this piece as I just let it unfold without too much planning and worked on each section in an organic, spontaneous way.

Acrylic on Canvas, 30" x 20" x 3/4" A modern geometric abstract panel design with layers of thick rich texture. Tools used to achieve the look were various palette and painting knives. A glossy gel was mixed into the acrylic for the center square and layers of thin, transparent glazes were washed over the textured center design. I love the sense of space and thick textures in these geometric panel designs and I intend to do a series of them.
